Pakistani tea - my embarassment Empty Pakistani tea - my embarassment

Well, they don't really drink tea with milk, it's more like milk with little tea in it.

After knowing my husband for 6+ years, I didn't actually know how they make tea until I came to Pakistan a few months ago. I know I am foolish but my dh probably didn't want to bother to teach me, so it's not all my fault.

All this years he used to just fix for himself the 'normal' tea - the one you make with boiled water from the kettle and then you put a teabag in.

I was so embarassed when we had our first visitors in Pakistan and I was supposed to serve them tea...I just didn't know what to do with so much milk, with that pot, with that strainer...silly me. Alhamdulillah, now I am a specialist in preparing it, only that if it's for more than 2 people I would spill half of the tea all over when I strain it. So, up to two sisters at a time, you are very welcome to my house for a cup of Pakistani tea.

Assalamu aleikum
