The Ease of Learning the Qur'an

العلامة عبد الرحمن السعدي رحمه الله : قال الله نعالى { وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ } القمر:17
وقال الشيخ السعدي رحمه الله في تفسيره:



Shaykh 'Abdur Rahman Sa'dee , may Allah have mercy on him, stated the verse: "We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember [i.e. or receive admonition?] Surah Qamar verse 17.

Shaykh As-Sa'dee, may Allah have mercy on him, stated in his explanation of the verse:


أي: ولقد يسرنا وسهلنا هذا القرآن الكريم، ألفاظه للحفظ والأداء، ومعانيه للفهم والعلم، لأنه أحسن الكلام لفظا، وأصدقه معنى، وأبينه تفسيرا، فكل من أقبل عليه يسر الله عليه مطلوبه غاية التيسير، وسهله عليه،



"Meaning, indeed we have made the Noble Qur'an easy and facilitated. . Its [i.e. Qur'an] wording is for memorization and application, its meanings for comprehension and religious knowledge--Because it, the Qur'an, is the most eloquent in speech, most truthful in its meaning, and most clear in its explanation. So every person who is inclined towards it, Allah will make easy for him his request to the utmost of ease; Allah making the Qur'an facilitated for him.



والذكر شامل لكل ما يتذكر به العاملون من الحلال والحرام، وأحكام الأمر والنهي، وأحكام الجزاء والمواعظ والعبر، والعقائد النافعة والأخبار الصادقة، ولهذا كان علم القرآن حفظا وتفسيرا، أسهل العلوم، وأجلها على الإطلاق، وهو العلم النافع الذي إذا طلبه العبد أعين عليه، قال بعض السلف عند هذه الآية: هل من طالب علم فيعان عليه؟ ولهذا يدعو الله عباده إلى الإقبال عليه والتذكر بقوله: { فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ

the "Dhikr" encompasses all that which those who strive mentions of Halal and Haram, the rulings concerning recompense, admonition, reminders, beliefs that are benefited by, as well as truthful reports. For this reason, the knowledge of the Qur'an was and still is perserved and expounded on [i.e. explained]. Its sciences are the most facilitated, the most Lofty without any restriction. The Qur'an is the beneficial knowledge in which when the servant seeks it--he is assisted towards it.



Some of Salaf stated regarding this verse:

"Is there any individual who will seek this [i.e. Qur'an], So he will be aided towards it?"

For this reason Allah calls to His servants towards being inclined to it, remembering it. Allah mentions in His statement:



"Then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition?)
